Rapijet MG - Maxi Grit

Rapijet MG - Maxi Grit is manufactured from processed mineral slags which have less than 0.1% free silica, developed within the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations. Copper slag is a very common, low cost, expendable abrasive which contractors use to remove unwanted finishes or residue including rust, paint and other materials from the surface of metal or stone, which helps prepare the material’s surface for painting.
This product is quality material and is a popular alternative blasting medium in industrial cleaning to garnet. Companies can additionally use copper slag to clean large smelting furnaces or equipment utilising blasting or high pressure spraying techniques.
In addition to its obvious qualities as an expendable abrasive for conventional dry blasting, one physical characteristic of Rapijet MG - Maxi Grit is that it does not absorb water, making it equally efficient when used with water. Thus the relevant grade can be used in applications such as selective removal of coatings and chemical residues from steel substrates.
